We are seeking a reliable and organized Maintenance Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities within our clients organization. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and supervising maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing maintenance budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities

Carry out inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues

Check electrical, mechanical, and solar systems to ensure functionality
-
Estimate costs for parts, labour, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance
-
Manage contractors on site
-
Coordinate and streamline installation and/or repairs of equipment
-
Monitor equipment inventory and ensure optimal stock levels
-
Inspect, test, and maintain all cooling units
-
Ensure adherence to schedules for refrigeration maintenance
-
Review manufacturer’s service manuals and maintenance records to determine causes of breakages or breakdowns
-
Arrange and coordinate service providers and contractors in relation to breakdowns
-
Check and sign off on work completed by service providers and contractors
-
Assist with training of maintenance staff and machine operators
-
Service all machinery
-
Ensure availability of critical spare parts on site
-
Ensure proper use and storage of equipment and tools across all departments
-
Ensure effective operation of the ice machine
-
Evaluate slicer blade integrity and oversee proper disposal when unfit for use
Qualifications:
-
In-depth knowledge of all machinery, tools, and equipment used in factory operations
-
Understanding of water systems and effluent treatment plants, including their operation and maintenance
-
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems for troubleshooting and repair
-
Proficiency in refrigeration systems, including maintenance schedules, diagnostics, and repair
-
Familiarity with solar power systems, including panel performance, inverter functionality, and backup integration
-
Strong grasp of technical and food safety requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
-
Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements within an industrial or food processing environment
-
Risk management skills to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and safety risks
-
Experience in project planning and cost estimating, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
