Our digital presence is expanding, and we’re looking for a pioneering E-Commerce Coordinator to join our team. This is a brand-new role — ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a flair for building systems from the ground up. Your role will be to establish and grow our online platforms, starting with GANT, helping us shape the future of a premium omni-channel retail experience in South Africa.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to : Chief Operations Officer
- Direct Reports : None
Key Areas of Impact:
- Lead the day-to-day management and future development of our e-commerce sites (Shopify-based), beginning with GANT.
- Coordinate both front- and back-end platform activities, ensuring seamless functionality, customer experience, and site optimisation.
- Build cross-functional internal relationships across Marketing, Operations (retail stores), Warehouse & Logistics, Merchandising, and IT to drive integrated solutions and successful outcomes.
- Liaise with external service providers (Consumer Care, 3PL Courier partner and Payment Gateway service provider)
- Develop and embed processes and best practices
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- 5 years in an e-commerce coordinator, specialist, or digital operations role
- Proven Full-stack development on Shopify
- Full-stack development in WooCommerce and Salesforce will be highly advantageous
- Experience in the retail sector, preferably fashion
- Experience with digital channels including Google AdWords/SEO/PPC & email marketing
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
- Relevant degree or diploma in E-commerce, Digital Marketing, IT, or similar
- Certifications in digital platforms, e-commerce, or project management would be advantageous.
Additional requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
- Analytics reporting software (Google analytics)
- Strong understanding of digital merchandising, fulfilment workflows, and analytics tools
- Premium UX Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
- Confident working in environments without predefined processes, with the ability to build and implement effective systems and solutions from the ground up.
- Enthusiastic, driven, and eager to “get stuck in” while able to step back and take a objective view
