Do you have excellent experience in the Lifting Industry, qualified with a Technical Diploma / Degree, very strong technical expertise to fulfil the essential role of Operations Manager? This role for our very well-established client requires your technical expertise to support the Sales and Estimating department, the running of turnkey projects, and managing crews of crane operators and riggers. Excellent finance acumen / numeracy skills - Maths / Physics in Matric & technical tertiary qualification is essential! REQUIREMENTS- Technical Diploma or Degree with 8 to 10 years’ experience in operations

DUTIES
- Client liaison with new projects, managing quotations and project tenders
- Site visits to understand all requirements for planning estimation
- Meet with new suppliers
- Oversee the daily co-ordination of the plant requirements
- Identify shortfalls and correct accordingly
- Follow up on client bookings
- Oversee tracker surveillance, roadworthy & services schedules
- Manage workshop repairs
- Managing staff, performance reviews and overtime control
- Ensure company polices & procedures are understood by all staff and adhered to
- Responsible for staff development and training schedules
- Disciplinary management – responsible for counselling, warnings and hearing of transgressing staff members.
- For Health & Safety ensure SOP’s are followed
- Ensure PPE are up to standard & respected by all
- Oversee investigation of reporting of accidents and incidents report
- Development of corrective measurement of improvement
- Ensure hazarders chemicals training and certification are up to date
- Oversee load testing and certificate of all plant & equipment
- Site visits
- To ensure client requirements are met and strong relationships are built and maintained.
- Oversee planning schedules in the workshop and yard, expenditure & meet deadlines
- Manage debtor & creditor administration
