A vacancy has opened at our Spar Store , we are seeking a determined and proactive Store Manager with proven track record and experience based in Paarl , the successful candidate will be reporting to the Operations Manager.

The Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the retail outlet, in line with operational standards and within the corporate governance protocols in support of the company.

  • Manage Store targets and profitability of all departments within the supermarket.
  • Manage store operations including inventory, merchandising, scheduling, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, implement strategies to drive growth.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Should be able to manage stock.

      • Strong leadership and team management skills.
      • Extensive FMCG knowledge on market trends, Retail, product knowledge, stock ordering, cold chain management, sanitation management, Human resources management, general management, and a full understanding of legislation for food handling.
      • Customer service
      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
      • Previous Butchery Management experience and added advantage.
      • Own transport required.
      • Prepared to work on weekends and public holidays.
    • Knowledge of retail software and systems is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
