Job Description
Responsible for operating the gyro machine according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
- N2 Mechanical engineering.
- 1 to 2 years' proven experience as a gyro operator within the FMCG environment will be advantageous.
- A willingness to work overtime, shifts and weekends when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To control, organise the gyros and conveyors.
- Ensuring that gyros are always operational, and inspections are done according to Health and safety standard procedure.
- Ensuring that inspection is done as per job cards issued.
- To ensure that gyros and conveyors are washed.
- Ensuring that damaged, broken machines and equipment are repaired.
- Perform maintenance on plant equipment on weekends as per shift roster.
- Do breakdowns as agreed on the whole plant where needed, with the correct tools and spares at hand.
- Perform any other duties as may be required by management.

- Understanding of production procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures (PPE)
- Ability to read manuals.
- Good communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Able to work under pressure.
