Our client, a large consulting company with offices across South Africa, is looking for a Senior Geometric Design Engineer to join their growing team in Cape Town!
What you will need:
- Highly competent in roads and highways geometric design for national and provincial authorities.
- Extensive experience in complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc.
· BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering as a minimum.
· A minimum of 8 years’ roads-specific design experience is a pre-requisite.
· Registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech Eng is preferable.
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D software packages. Experience with ACC (BIM360) and Navisworks advantageous.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation of road infrastructure design reports.
Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
· Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc.
· Compliance with ISO standards of the company.
· Assisting in projects as required.
