Ivanhoe is focused on developing and expanding its four principal mining and exploration projects in Southern Africa. The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.

The purpose of this job is to assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables such as the Group and KHL consolidations and related financial statements together with the associated tasks.
Requirements:- BCom Accounting degree with honors or equivalent
- Newly qualified chartered account registered with SAICA
- Completion of SAICA accredited articles preferably at a “Big 4” firm.
- Successful completion of the Initial Test of Competence and Assessment of Professional Competence examinations administered by SAICA
- Experience within the mining industry would be advantageous
- Exposure to organisations with a multinational footprint would be advantageous.
- Preparation of the group consolidation and the joint venture consolidation on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements of the group
- Preparation of statutory financial statements of subsidiaries and joint ventures.
- Review of monthly reporting packs submitted by subsidiary accounting teams.
- Coordination of quarterly and annual external audits (group and subsidiaries)
- Preparation of the tax computations for companies within the Group.
- Monitoring of treasury balances and maintenance of related bank accounts.
- Preparation of surveys issued by Statistics Canada and the South African Reserve Bank
