Description:
To manage day-to-day accounting functions, including processing and reconciling financial transactions up to trial balance level. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Formal qualifications are advantageous but not essentialrelevant experience will be prioritized.Possible duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Perform full bookkeeping function up to trial balance Process customer and supplier invoices Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Manage debtors and creditors Prepare and process journals, accruals, and prepayments Assist with monthly management accounts and reports Assist with VAT calculations and submissions Support year-end audit preparation and reconciliations Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Perform ad hoc finance duties as requiredRequirements:
Education & Qualifications (Advantageous but not Essential):
BCom Degree or Diploma in Accounting is an advantage Completion of articles is an advantage Experience:
Proven accounting/bookkeeping experience (minimum 35 years preferred) Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes Experience with accounting software (Pastel highly advantageous) Skills & Competencies:
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
