My client, a prominent player in the transport and logistics industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Operations & Scheduling Supervisor to oversee the daily scheduling and forward planning of their fleet of 105 vehicles, including coaches and trucks. This role is key to ensuring smooth operations and optimal service delivery, even in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily vehicle scheduling for a fleet of 105 vehicles.
- Manage operational changes, such as breakdowns, last-minute bookings, and driver unavailability.
- Maintain effective communication with the operations and dispatch teams.
- Handle administrative duties related to scheduling, planning, and fleet management.
- Analyse fuel usage and vehicle utilization data for operational optimization.
- Provide general support to the operations team and manage disciplinary actions.
- Grade 12, Code B driverâs license & reliable transport
- 5+ yearsâ fleet scheduling (30+ vehicles, irregular schedules)
- Strong English skills (written & spoken)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Proven disciplinary experience (as an initiator)
- Solid understanding of fuel analysis & vehicle utilization
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours & weekly standby duty
- The ability to perform under pressure and maintain focus amidst high demands.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
- A natural problem-solver who can make quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent communicator - clear and confident.
- A team player with leadership qualities and a proactive mindset.
