Cape Town: My client, a U.S.-based supplier of custom smart cards, readers, and accessories, is seeking a high-performing Technical Sales Professional to join its dynamic team and drive growth in the North American retail and commercial sector. Purpose of the Role : As a Remote Appointment Setter, you will represent a groundbreaking, patented technology that is transforming the retail merchant industry. Based in South Africa, you will be responsible for outbound cold calling and connecting with U.S.-based merchants, introducing a unique solution that drives both additional revenue and new customer acquisition.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
- Cold calling U.S.-based retail merchants and commercial clients
- Scheduling high-quality appointments for senior sales executives
- Presenting and promoting patented technology solutions to prospects
- Meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly call and appointment-setting targets
- Following up on leads and managing a sales pipeline
- Providing exceptional, around-the-clock client service when required
- Handling occasional urgent client communications after hours, weekends, and holidays
- Proven track record in technical or solution-based sales, ideally in cold calling or appointment setting
- Excellent spoken English (first language preferred); neutral or North American-friendly accent essential
- High level of computer literacy
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to long-term growth
- Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through
- Remote work setup with reliable internet and a quiet, professional environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including potential overtime when needed
- Monday to Friday, 2pm to 12 midnight SA time (aligned with U.S. Eastern time)
- Availability outside standard hours for urgent matters is expected
