As our Electrician, you’ll maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems to keep the production plant running smoothly. Your work will include planned and preventative maintenance, minimising downtime, ensuring safety, and helping improve machine performance. You’ll also support other maintenance projects, log work completed, and assist with continuous improvement in engineering operations.
To be considered for the role, you’ll need a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (S4 or N6) OR a B-Tech in Instrumentation, with at least 3 years of experience—ideally in an FMCG or pharmaceutical setting. You should be capable of managing the full electrical supply chain, from high-voltage municipal supply points down to final socket outlets, while ensuring full legal compliance and effective contractor coordination during audits and inspections. Additional skills required include the ability to read electrical drawings, use maintenance software, and work with systems like PLCs, AC drives, and packaging machinery. Shift work, overtime, and a hands-on attitude are essential.
