- 3-5 years Experience in reading and analysing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs).

- Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the tender requirements of a project.
- Analyse requirements, drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimates.
- Develop and submit competitive project bids, ensuring all estimates align with project guidelines and profitability goals.
- Calculate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment needed for electrical installations.
- This includes determining wire lengths, outlet placements, and the type and cost of fixtures.
- Conduct cost analyses to ensure profitability of the project is maintained.
- Planning, architecting, and controlling the submission of large proposal and tender documents ensuring that submission deadlines are met, and the business submits the best proposal possible.
- Building most of the proposal / tender documents from existing generic content in consultation with the engineering team, sales team, projects team and management.
- Improving and updating existing generic content used within proposal documents
- Writing and editing new content which can be subsequently reused in future tender/proposal documents
- Understanding design and installation requirements from documents (drawings, specifications, correspondence, etc)
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Liaison with customers, partners & suppliers (Understand Requirements of customers/partners Suppliers)
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors/suppliers/partners/OEMs
- Ensure all electrical designs and estimates comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and propose solutions to mitigate them.
JOB PURPOSE:
Calculate and estimate cost for Electrical & Engineering tender projects. Bidding on or determining the price of electrical/industrial tenders/projects. This role is crucial in determining project feasibility, preparing competitive bids, and ensuring profitability.
