Description:
Hire Resolve’s client in the Technology industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Logistics and Asset Manager in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory levels, including stock reporting and handling of various stock types (demo, loan, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with international regulations and manage all necessary shipping documentation (customs invoices, permits, etc.).
- Utilize logistics software and asset management systems (e.g., Pastel, Excel, AssetZure) for planning, tracking, and asset management.
- Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders, and manage insurance coverage.
- Coordinate repairs logistics and track cases in the CRM system.
- Identify and resolve customs or transport issues and prepare for audits.
- Maintain permit registers, ensure data security, and stay updated on regulation changes.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in logistics, shipping, or inventory management
- Driver's License with own/reliable transport
- Understanding of international logistics and export regulations, including shipping of hazardous materials (e.g., lithium batteries)
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and asset tracking tools
- Familiarity with customs procedures, Incoterms, HTC, DCAC compliance and documentation
