This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to play a key role in overseeing and enhancing the bank's risk management framework to ensure resilience, compliance, and sustainable growth. Position is based in Durban
Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the bank’s risk management policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards and internal risk appetite.

Identify, assess, monitor, and report on all risk exposures including credit, market, operational, liquidity, and reputational risks.

Ensure compliance with local and international banking regulations.
-
Coordinate risk assessments and stress testing exercises across business units.
-
Lead the development of risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

Present risk analysis and recommendations to senior management and the Board Risk Committee.

Promote a strong risk culture across the bank through training and awareness initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field.

Professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) preferred.
-
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in risk management within the banking or financial services sector.

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9).

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
