Location: Johannesburg/Pretoria – Hybrid
Salary Range: R70 000 – R90 000 per month
Experience Required: 5 – 10 years in C development within a Linux environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Role Overview:
Hire Resolve client is seeking a skilled Senior C Engineer with extensive experience in C programming on Linux systems. This role requires a high-level expert who can contribute strategically, technically, and culturally within the team. You will play a leadership role in system design, code quality enforcement, DevOps integration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write high-performance, scalable C code and optimize system architecture.
• Lead system design efforts and set technical direction for the team.
• Evaluate and select the most appropriate technologies for different solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Define and uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to cross-functional collaboration.
• Define and enforce security strategies in line with industry standards.
• Oversee DevOps strategies including automated deployments and infrastructure management.
• Provide strategic input to roadmap and project execution planning.
• Act as a technical liaison across leadership, product, and customer interfaces.
• Continuously drive innovation and improvement of engineering processes.
• Programming Languages: C (primary), C++ and/or C# (advantageous)
• Environment: Linux (expert level)
• Tools & Concepts: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, security compliance, version control (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
