An exciting opportunity awaits a seasoned Hospital Contracting Manager to lead and implement a high-impact contracting strategy across a diverse range of healthcare facilities including acute hospitals, day hospitals, sub-acute and psychiatric centres. This pivotal role is being recruited on behalf of a leading organisation in the healthcare industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of the largest areas of scheme spend, overseeing approximately R39bn in healthcare expenditure. This includes designing and negotiating complex hospital networks, driving sustainable cost reductions, and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships to align with broader business strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading commercial negotiations with executive-level stakeholders Designing and executing strategic hospital network contracts Overseeing analytical contracting models and financial forecasting Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks Enforcing service level agreements with internal and external stakeholdersRequirements:
An Honours Degree in Clinical or Commercial disciplines (Masters degree advantageous) 510 years experience in contracting or strategic sourcing within healthcare Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and managed care models Strong senior stakeholder management and problem-solving skills A proactive, innovative approach to healthcare solutions EE Disclaimer:
