Description:
The focus of this role is to ensure our existing marketing strategy and plan is achieved by supporting the Head of Marketing with the oversight, coordination, and implementation thereof. Our key marketing focus is to promote products and services, maintain and raise brand awareness through appropriate or relevant marketing channels and effectively communicate with our target market within the parameters of legislation.
Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations i.e. PR company
Advertising (Print, Radio, TV, Billboards, advertorials, other)
Assist in researching and planning advertising campaigns, including; Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press – local, regional, national and specialist publications and decide on suitable media – print, radio, billboards depending on the campaign; try and get a spread of quality advertising across regions, media platforms and target markets Coordinate and inspect creative elements and layouts Liaise with advertising agencies in terms of television advertising production when required and liaise with DSTV regarding up-coming cycling events Filter proposals received from agencies and the team in line with strategy Lever-off all advertising opportunities to maximise exposure
Marketing, media, and web presence
Manage social media pages (LinkedIn) and monitor competitor presence Research, manage, implement and analyse Google Adwords and Analytics
Branding (Gifting, Banners, Signage, ad hoc)
Track stock that is used throughout the year Track the movement of branding and ensure it is returned after events/functions/presentations All branding in line with guidelines and ASISA codes.
Budgets
Assisting the gatekeeper of the budget by double checking the monthly budget items and ensure the marketing budget balances with finance each month. Monitor on an ongoing basis and communicate weekly with the marketing administrator to ensure the budget is kept up to date with upcoming or cancelled items.
Communication
Where relevant, ensure communication is appropriately levered-off to maximise exposure. To achieve this, you would be in regular contact with the communication specialist.
General Marketing Material
Assist with the creation and updating of content for existing and new marketing material Assist in the production of marketing materials, including fact sheets, brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters Liaise with designers and printers, when required Upload the factsheets to the FSCA, monthly
