You thrive on being accountable for leading and giving strategic direction and implementation on people-centric matters. In this instant, focus will be on Human Resources, the prevention of Gender-based Violence, Gender Diversity and Marketing & Communications.
You take pride in reporting and being accountable to the Vice-Chancellor, while you have a vested interested in ensuring your subordinate team are at the top of their game. Those reporting in include Director: Human Resources Director: Marketing & Communications Director: GBV Prevention & Gender Diversity.
You hold a Masters degree whilst a Doctoral degree may be an added advantage. You have specialised in human resources management or industrial psychology or a related or relevant field, underpinned by 12 years relevant experience covering the foci mentioned above, of which 5 years' experience has been at a senior and/or general and/or executive management level.
You will be part of the Executive Management Committee with institutional responsibilities and reporting directly to the Vice
Chancellor and Principal.
You have an extensive knowledge and management ability of people management, communications and stakeholder engagement, where cross-functionality has been key. Resourcing for optimal efficacy is a forté of yours, while operative knowledge of legal & regulatory frameworks, particularly in the Higher Education environment, is abundantly clear to you. You are both caring and well-read in the management relating to the complexities of gender-based violence and related issues.
Ideally, but not so, is registration with a relevant professional body such as the HPCSA and/or SABPP. You have an astute appreciation of the
importance of professional communication, world-class marketing, and reputational management, so much so that you are possibly an affiliated member with a professional body in one or more of these areas of expertise.
