Key Responsibilities:
Perform mineral balances and metallurgical accounting. Contribute to reserve/resource reporting and evaluations. Support technical management of processing plants and optimise metallurgical recipes. Assist in maintaining technical standards and operational procedures. Conduct metallurgical test work and lead technical improvement initiatives. Participate in process design and plant commissioning activities. Identify production bottlenecks and support troubleshooting and cost optimisation efforts. Conduct feasibility studies and trend analysis of metallurgical processes. Coordinate benchmarking inputs and compile investigative and performance reports. Manage and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual operations reviews. Execute plant trials, external testing, and on-site optimisation activities.Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12 and BTech in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering (Postgraduate qualification is a plus). 710 years experience in chrome recovery plants, specifically in chrome beneficiation. Deep knowledge of metallurgical production processes and chrome separation techniques.Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure. Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Physically fit and capable of working in demanding operational conditions. Willingness to travel extensively to operational sites. Valid drivers license and passport.
