Key Responsibilities:Cost Accounting & Analysis: Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting, including material, labor, and overhead costs. Prepare detailed cost reports, analyze variances, and recommend cost-control measures. Collaborate with production and procurement teams to monitor and allocate manufacturing costs accurately. Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger for the factory and ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. Prepare financial statements and management reports that reflect the financial performance and position of the factory. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, comparing actual results to budgeted figures. Inventory & Fixed Assets Management: Ensure proper accounting for inventory and raw materials in accordance with local standards. Track and reconcile fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal procedures are followed. Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and internal accounting policies and procedures. Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis. Continuously monitor and enhance internal controls within the factorys financial processes. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting efficiency. Implement best practices and support the integration of new financial systems or ERP solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with production managers, procurement teams, and other relevant departments to support financial decision-making. Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive operational improvements. Provide training and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors Honors degree in Accounting, Finance, or CIMA qualification.. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in manufacturing or industrial environments. Proven experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and principles. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Advanced MS Excel skills.
