Job Purpose:
The Rugby Coach is responsible for developing and delivering coaching programs that maximize student-athletes’ performance and growth. The role requires guidance on technical skills, tactics, and personal development while ensuring the highest standards of safety, discipline, and well-being for all players.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Coaching & Training: Plan and deliver dynamic coaching sessions focused on skill development, fitness, and game strategies.

Performance Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to players to improve both individual and team performance .

Tactical Development: Develop and implement strategies that maximize team performance during matches and training.

Innovation in Coaching: Keep up to date with the latest rugby coaching techniques, introducing innovative methods and practices.

Player Mentorship: Encourage a positive mental attitude, discipline, and self-confidence in players, helping them develop both as athletes and individuals.

Health & Safety: Ensure the safe execution of all training and matches, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Uphold the safeguarding policies and ensure the well-being of all students under your supervision.

Support Personal Development: Assist players in using rugby as a tool for personal and social growth, building teamwork and life skills.

Role Model: Act as a mentor and positive role model, earning the trust and respect of players, staff, and colleagues.

Attendance: Participate in annual sports awards and other relevant events, including occasional evening sessions for special events .

Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake any additional duties as required by the sports Coordinator.
Requirements:

- Experience Coaching Senior Rugby Teams: 2 to 3 years
-
A minimum of 2 years’ experience coaching senior rugby teams.
-
World Rugby Coaching Level 1 Accreditation or equivalent.
-
Valid Boksmart license for rugby coaching.
-
First Aid level 2-3 training does not have to be a valid certificate may be expired however needs to provide roof that they have conducted the training in the past.

Minimum Requirements:

World Rugby Coaching Level 1 Accreditation or equivalent.
