Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance
- Perform the month-end change over and restoration of vacant units and occupied unit maintenance delivery by obtaining the job card, identified the required tools/equipment required, and repair as per job card.
- Complete all job cards, by completing the jobs, signing the job card once the job has been completed.
- Complete job cards in a timely manner by adhering to stipulated timelines, low – 7 – 14 days, medium – 0 – 7 days and urgent hours.
- Adhere to safe and appropriate behaviour of maintenance when completing maintenance by complying with security protocols, completion of work in a tidy and clean manner adhering to the quality and cleanliness standards.
- Adhere to minimum stock levels, by conducting of daily, weekly, monthly stock counts and tool inspections by monitoring stock levels, identifying stock requirements and reporting to Portfolio Manager.
- Address stock variances by investigating, identifying the reasons, providing feedback to Portfolio Manager.
- Issue stock by adhering to the stock issue processes and checking for accuracy as required
- NQF 4 essential
- 2 to 3 years’ experience
- Experience/qualification in plumbing work or electrical work is advantageous
