SCOPEQuantity surveyors are central to the decision-making process through out the development of a project, from initial inception to final completion.
Tasks and Responsibilities not limited to :
Present a cost estimate which may be used to generate a quotation ready for presentation to potential clients. Present final quotation based on final plans to be used in the contract. Oversee the setting up of a construction contract between the company and the client. Generate invoices based on the specifications within the contract and for all variation orders. Keep record of invoicing and generate a statement with each invoice for the client. Drafting Bills of Quantities based on the architectural plan for each client. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities if required. Evaluate tenders from sub-contractors and, where appropriate negotiate. Evaluate work completed by sub-contractors and action payments. Ordering and negotiation best prices of materials required for the construction of each project and the delivery of such materials timeously. Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure. Monitor and keep track of project progress and be responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final. Work as part of the team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered. Conduct monthly valuation of work in progress, including forecasting of final cost. Consulting with clients,
