Description:

Responsible for the leadership and proactive management of the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. This role ensures the seamless functioning of all IT services, manages the escalation of technical issues, and directs routine maintenance activities Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • 5 year experience in similar role
  • BCom Degree in IT, Computer Sciences or related field
  • A+ and N+ certifications
  • Strong troubleshoot ability
  • Good communication skills

Duties:
  • Assist in the development of IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with the organisation’s business objectives
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, IT incidents, team productivity, and vendor performance to present to senior management
  • Lead and supervise the IT team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and maintaining high levels of team motivation and productivity
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure continuous improvement and professional development
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and secure IT operations
  • Continuously evaluate current workflows and make recommendations for improvements to optimize system performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and evaluating vendor performance
  • Oversee the procurement process for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring the organisation receives the best value and service quality
  • Oversee the IT inventory and stock management, ensuring that hardware and software assets are well-tracked and updated
  • Maintain a comprehensive asset register, documenting all hardware, software, and network components
  • Perform system backups, updates, and patches according to the organisation's policies and compliance requirements
  • Monitor network security and data integrity, performing necessary diagnostics to ensure systems remain secure and functional
  • Oversee and manage the organisation's hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Lead the planning, installation, and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and network devices
  • Ensure regular and preventive maintenance of hardware to avoid unexpected failures and downtime.
  • Manage software licensing, updates
