Description:
An established fruit marketing concern, located in Vyeboom between Grabouw and Villiersdorp, is actively involved in the packing of deciduous fruit for both local and international markets. They are seeking to employ an HR Officer for their Packhouse.This position plays a supportive role regarding daily HR functions at the packhouse, this includes but is not limited to relevant labour legislation, personnel policy, procedures and rules. Duties & Responsibilities:- Supporting the departments with HR information / queries / functions / audits.
- Assisting departments with onboarding, recruitment and selection process.
- Maintain and update HR administrative forms, records, templates and other HR-related documents, e.g., UIF, IOD, resignations, contracts, disciplinaries, training and development, housing, provident fund.
- Coordinating and assisting with training needs and analysis, e.g., induction, skills programmes, etc.
- Assisting, maintaining and review the implementation of HR policies and procedures for packhouse.
- HR module management on TracTech system.
- Supporting functions to Payroll, Compliance, Finance and Production.
- Collation of data for Health & Safety, Skills Development and Employment Equity and provide statutory support.
- Ensure compliance in terms of SIZA standards and platform.
- Responding to other ad-hoc queries.
- HR qualification
- Experience in similar position for at least five (5) years
- Computer Literate (MS Office)
- Knowledge of SAGE300 and/ or TracTech
- Valid code 8 driver’s license
- Knowledge of relevant Labour Legislation
- Deadline driven and strong time manage skills
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Strong people focus- willingness to support employees
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Flexible / Adaptable
- The ability to work part of a team
- The ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail
- The ability to act in a confidential and sensitive manner
