Description:
Seeking a hands-on Assistant Accountant who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is not a traditional accounting roleits for someone whos not afraid to get their hands dirty, roll up their sleeves, and take ownership across multiple businesses and business functions. You must have a sharp eye for detail, be excellent at correcting messy trial balances, and bring structure to disorganized financial environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar
Newly qualified CIMA/almost qualified.
Minimum 23 years of relevant experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to take initiative and "do it all" when needed

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
Assist in the preparation and correction of trial balances
Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger reviews
Support month-end and year-end processes
Liaise with auditors when necessary
Maintain proper documentation and support for all financial transactions
Payroll & HR Support
Process payroll accurately and on time
Maintain employee records
Support HR with admin tasks like leave tracking and contract preparation
Administrative Support
Type and format contracts and other legal documents
Book and manage travel and accommodation logistics
Handle office correspondence and communication, including answering calls
External Relationship Management
Build and manage relationships with banks and service providers
Data Analysis & Excel Work
Analyze and interpret financial codes and project costs
Produce custom Excel reports for management
Maintain and improve internal spreadsheets and models
