Description:

Are you a visual storyteller in the making, with a passion for photography, video, and all things creative?Our client, a leader in the hardware industry, requires an enthusiastic individual to join their marketing team. You’ll be behind the lens capturing scroll-stopping images, crafting simple but compelling video content (mostly for social media), and making sure the digital presence is as sharp as your eye for detail.This role is perfect for someone who’s tech-savvy, creative, and ready to roll up their sleeves to learn, grow, and bring ideas to life.
  • REQUIREMENTS
    • Matric certificate, plus a tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Visual Media, Photography, Film, or a related creative field
    • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in photography and content creation, with a portfolio to showcase your work
    • Solid command of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Lightroom, and related tools
    • A keen eye for detail with a strong grasp of visual composition, lighting, and post-production techniques
    • Familiarity with leading social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and an understanding of content trends and formats that drive engagement
    • Experience working with e-commerce or content management systems (e.g., uploading products, managing listings, updating visual content)
    • Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a creative team in a fast-moving environment
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a knack for meeting deadlines and juggling multiple creative projects
    • A creative thinker with a resourceful mindset and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

DUTIES
  • Capture high-quality, on-brand photography for use across digital platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing collateral
  • Edit and retouch images to a professional standard, ensuring consistency with the brand’s visual identity
  • Support video creation for social media—such as short-form videos, reels, and stories—that drive engagement and align with current trends
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to produce compelling content that resonates with our target audience
  • Assist with maintaining the website by uploading new products and ensuring that imagery and product information are accurate and visually appealing
  • Help manage and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across all platforms
  • Stay informed on the latest photography, content, and e-commerce trends to keep our creative approach fresh and relevant
  • Contribute ideas and assist in brainstorming sessions for new campaigns, shoots, and brand storytelling initiatives
  • Organize and maintain all creative equipment and digital assets, ensuring photo and video files are stored efficiently and easily accessible
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
