A national company that is a medical equipment supplier of laboratory products and solutions seeks to employ an External Sales Rep for Johannesburg. Please only apply if you have a valid license, your own reliable vehicle along with the relevant experience and qualifications required!!
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Completed Grade 12
- MUST have a Completed Degree/National Diploma/Diploma in the Sciences!!
- Minimum 3 years external sales experience working in the sales of laboratory equipment !!
- Proven work experience as a Medical Sales Representative
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Success at generating sales in an interface environment
- Experience in the end-user selling environment
- Academic institutions, pharmaceuticals, industry, pathology
- Work within a laboratory/scientific environment
- MUST have Valid license and own vehicle essential!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Generating sales by interfacing with clients
Planning
- Map sales territories in terms of high potential/high value clients
- Establish decision-making protocols, processes and role-players within client companies
- Present, promote and sell' products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Cold Calling and lead generation ability
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Formulate client development plans to achieve set sales targets
Management Control Systems
- Plan sales call diary one month in advance
- Attend weekly review meetings - alternating one-on-one and group review
- Report daily on previous day's activities i.e. outcome of sales calls, quotations completed etc.
- Provide necessary information to feed into key performance indicators
- Complete trip sheets accurately and timeously, on a weekly basis
Sales and sales interface
- Ability to accurately Forecast and track Sales performance
- Sales Funnel management
- Make and confirm appointments with key decision role players
- Conduct sales interface calls that lead to meaningful outcomes
- Update on-line call logs
Territory management
- Ensure that CRM data is accurate and up to date
- New customer development
- Identify all potential consumption zones with client organization's
- Categorise all clients in terms of their current value and growth potential
Brand development
- Ensure that business opportunities are identified across the range of products
- Liaise with the marketing manager and product managers for support programmes and materials
- Conduct group and individual presentations to decision making units within client companies
- Provide advice and service via telephone and on-site, where necessary and viable
