We’re looking for…
A highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist, with strong clinical experience in critical care and trauma, to join the multidisciplinary team at one of Johannesburg’s most advanced Level 1 Trauma Units.
What’s the role?
You will be responsible for:
- Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients in the trauma and ICU wards.
- Implement early mobilisation protocols and respiratory physiotherapy techniques for ventilated and critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the ICU medical team.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary ward rounds and case discussions.
- Educate patients and families on recovery, exercises, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records in line with HPCSA and hospital standards.
- Support and contribute to continuous clinical improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and quality audits.
