My client, a well established organization based in Stellenbosch is seeking to employ an Logistics Assistant with at least 1 - 2 years relevant experience in a logistics role.A relevant degree will count in the candidate's favour. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:- At least 1-2 years’ experience in a logistics role.

- Daily administrative functions
- Adding new transporters and updating insurance
- Invoicing
- Opening and sending of contracts and collection of signed contracts
- Collecting POD''s
- Supplier payments
- Loading of transport invoices
- Develop relationships with transporters and clients
- Keeping clients informed regarding status of cargo
- Follow-up with trucks to determine ETA
- Communication with suppliers and loading points
- Handle everyday logistical challenges
- Weekly planning of truck movements and delivery
- Updating system from loaded to delivered
- Sending of load cons
