Description:
Emerald Life Proprietary Limited is a registered Micro Insurer with its head office in Bellville, Western Cape. We seek to recruit an energetic, positive and self-motivated individual in the capacity of a Branch Cleaner. The incumbent will be situated at our Komani District Office and will work two days per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) from 08h00am to 12h00pm.
Summary: Key duties and Responsibilities
· Dust, clean, polish, wipe down and sanitize all designated areas, office equipment, desks and other surfaces including furniture, windows, doors, fixtures and other surfaces within the designated area as well as all designated restrooms.
· Sweep, mop and vacuum designated area.
· Stock and maintain cleaning supplies & inform manager when cleaning supplies are running low.
· Disposing of trash from bins at the end of each day, clean bins and containers when necessary & replace trash bags.
· Serve tea and/or coffee to management.
· Notify management of occurring deficiencies or need for repairs.
· Follow all health and safety regulations.
· Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
Qualifications and Experience
· Grade 12 or similar qualification is essential.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Additional language(s) will be advantageous.
Skills and Attributes
· Good time management and strong, particular attention to detail.
· Ability to use own initiative and be proactive.
Should you be successful for the position, you will be required to work for a probation period of 6 months.
