As the Senior Area Manager (Retail) you will be responsible for supporting the Regional Manager in ensuring growth of the region and taking accountability of the Regional Management function in order to ensure smooth running and management of the operations. This includes improving the region’s financial performance in terms of stakes, cost control, productivity and efficiency, resource planning, customer service levels, reporting and company policies, legislative and statutory policies. Ensure that all branches comply with legislative requirements and Hollywood standards of excellence.

- Valid Driver’s license.
- Previous Management Experience
What You’ll Do For The Brand:
- Develop and implement regional plans to attain forecasted growth/other targets.
- Review branch locations and possible relocation options where applicable to ensure maximum returns.
- Communicates financial targets to each branch and measure branch performances.
- Plan for growth in resources through identifying a pool of candidates that can be drawn from if there is a need.
- Budget Review the regional costs by scrutinizing each branch’s cost and identifying irregularities and trends.
- Conduct regular visits to regional branches.
- Ensures branches operate optimally through sound people This includes recruitment, on- boarding and training, payroll, clockwatch, and other such procedures as well as implementation of performance management and disciplinary procedures. Ensures that Branch Team Leaders/Managers implement the set procedures timeously.
- Partners with marketing to ensure branches reach their intended financial targets.
- Ensures all new Team Members have received the necessary training before they start.
- Evaluates existing business procedures and recommends improvements to Operations Manager prior to
- Arranges regular meetings with the Branch Team Leaders/Managers to discuss targets, business challenges and resolutions thereof.
- Ensure superior customer service and customer Pro-actively address customer complaints and ensure customer feedback is positive. Build strong relationships with regular customers/punters.
- Monitoring of Gambling boards licenses and renewals. Ensuring Branches are compliant with Gambling Board Legislation requirements.
- Ensure branch facilities, building and equipment is well maintained. Ensure all branches are neat and tidy, according to the Hollywood Performing branch inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and Hollywood standards.
- Succession planning for the region. Identify talent within the region. Develop growth paths for Team Members to develop into Branch Managers, Area Managers and Regional Liaise with training and development regarding specific training needs/requirements.
- Daily reading of newsflashes and providing remedy options.
- Ensure audit queries raised are kept to a minimum and ensure that resolution is provided timeously.
- Develop a safe and positive work environment for the Team Members
- Ensure daily report is submitted.
- Reporting on areas as and when required/requested.
- Ensure proactive approach in providing timeous feedback to requests .
