Description:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:- Own the runway for both local and international payrolls including compliance with multi-country regulations and exchange nuances
- Navigate and manage varied pay structures including: Commission-based compensation, Fixed-term contracts & temporary staff and Permanent employees, Overtime and Standby-based compensation and Allowances across multiple business units
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure on-time, accurate payroll delivery
- Keep your finger on the payslip pulse maintain knowledge of changing tax laws, statutory deductions, and industry standards
- Employee benefits administration for medical aid, pension and provident funds, and bargaining council
- Champion system improvements and payroll automation where possible
- Provide insightful reports and forecasts to help leadership make pay-savvy decisions
Education Requirements:
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant SAGE qualification
Job Requirements and Skills:
- 10+ years' experience in a payroll position essential
- 4 to 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity essential
- Advanced Sage system knowledge
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Attention to detail
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
