Role Overview:The Business Development Portfolio Lead will be responsible for expanding the banking portfolio by acquiring new clients and securing business opportunities. This role involves proactively engaging with potential clients to introduce the full range of educational offerings while integrating seamlessly with the companys internal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development & Expansion
Identify and acquire new clients across various sectors to drive business growth. Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to increase market share and enter untapped business segments. Actively seek and close high-value deals by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions. 2. Sales Leadership & Strategic Growth
Lead the sales function to ensure consistent long-term revenue growth and sustainable profitability. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quality leads, ensuring continuous progression to deal closure. Meet and exceed revenue targets, contributing to overall business growth. 3. Market Intelligence & Industry Insights
Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify emerging opportunities. Develop data-driven sales strategies based on market trends and client demand. Innovate and tailor solutions in collaboration with internal teams to meet evolving client needs. 4. Client Relationship Management & Retention
Build and maintain high-value relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Drive account diversification to reduce concentration risk and enhance portfolio resilience. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, fostering long-term partnerships and repeat business. 5. Leadership & Business Development Maturity
Mentor and guide junior sales professionals to improve overall business development effectiveness. Promote a high-performance sales culture aligned with business objectives. Represent the company at industry events and strategic engagements as a brand ambassador.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelors degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, ideally in banking, financial services, or learning & development. Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through strategic client engagement. Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and CRM tools.
