Job Title: General Manager Internal TrainingLocation: Inland - Elandsfontein, Germiston
Position Summary:
Develop and implement a training strategy focused on operational excellence in cleaning practices, health & safety, hygiene, equipment usage, and client service standards with a reinforced focus on Customer Centricity, and overall Employee Development with the focus on operations excellence and superior service delivery (Operational Excel).
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously reviews existing training programs, focusing on improved engagements, build on industry knowledge and the retention thereof, and ensure the alignment of material, knowledge and process with the new demands and operating model of the business, the client, and the requirements of the industry.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve on-the-job training material to ensure trainers are equipped with relevant, up-to-date knowledge and tools for effective onsite delivery
- Ensure that the business is up to date with the relevant knowledge of new methods and techniques to train (AI) etc, and abreast of training requirements applicable to the business and/or industry.
- Identify Skills gap and close the gaps with the relevant training.
- Guide and equip the Training Officers with Skills to conduct and facilitate the required training sessions.
- Facilitating on-going on boarding programs and induction for new staff, including site-specific inductions and refresher sessions and support all contractual startups in the mobilisation process
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met within the constraints of the relevant budget.
- To effectively aassist in identifying and developing future leaders and ensure that employee career progression aligns with organizational needs
- Ensure accurate records of all training interventions including but not limited to attendance registers, certification, and employee development.
- Oversees the daily and planned activities of training officers and managers.
- Following the latest trends and technologies incorporate in training programs.
- Develop different elements of training and applying new developmental methods.
- Conduct audits and quality checks on training outcomes and operational execution and efficiencies
- Coordinating and oversee in operations the design of the training strategy and training interventions and the execution thereof.
- Ensure that a system/database is in place to monitor ongoing training, refresher courses, new techniques, and the use of new and current product usage updates are in place.
Qualifications:
- Training related qualification
- Facilitator/Assessor Certificate
- Grade 12
- A valid driver’s license
- Minimum 5 years' experience in training leadership role, preferably in a cleaning, facilities, or service industry. Strong knowledge of cleaning operations, health & safety regulations, and hygiene standards. Proven experience in succession planning, people development, and team management.
- Technical knowledge with a strong focus on quality standards, safety standards & customer relationships within the training environment.
- Microsoft Office Package
- Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, SANS Standards, Environmental Management Legislation
