Description: our client is looking to fill a key role in its Financial Reporting team. Bookkeepers areresponsible for updating financial accounts and records as well as ensuring accuracy of financial
transactions recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
Documenting financial transaction details
Capturing of invoices & costs on Sage.
Processing general journals.
Update and maintain the general ledger.
Allocating bank payments and receipts on a monthly basis.
Performing bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
Assisting with audit requests.
Support in delivering on ad-hoc projects.
Key Requirements:
• Basic finance or accounting knowledge.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Understanding accounting best practices.
• Keen eye for detail and good administration skills.
• Eager for continuous learning.
• Ability to cope with various internal and statutory deadlines.
• Finance related qualification.
• Good command of the English language.
The following will be advantageous:
• Understanding accounting best practices.
• Prior experience working with accounting software (Sage, Pastel, Xero etc)
