Warehouse Manager

Description:

We are looking for a well experineced Warehouse Manager to join our team.

Duties:

• Manage and control the key performance areas of the subordinates, including legislative training and certification and effective disciplinary action when required
• Manage and control the receipt and delivery procedures
• Attend to the physical weekly / monthly stock takes
• Ensure goods in warehouse neatly and correctly stored
• Ensure that the ISO 9001 procedures are complied with
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
• Continued employment is dependent on the employee providing a satisfactory service.
• Execute any other function that is required by the company
• Manage and control variable costs, including but not limited to overtime and packaging
• Ensure adequate security, control of all stock with zero loss, pilferage or damage.
• Maintain and improve agreed customer delivery standards, every delivery on time, the right product, the correct quantity
• Submit weekly stock report to the General Manager, with detailed reports on discrepancies and or irregularities
• Be aware of competitor activity and update management with market information.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are safe to operate, serviced as per manufacturer stipulation and company regulations
• Ensure compliance to BCEA
• Identify and mitigate any risks to the company
• Ensure agreed productivity achieved through implementation of best practices
• Execute any valid instruction from Senior management
• This position is a managerial position
• The position subordinates to this position are reach truck drivers, forklift operators, truck drivers, truck driver assistants, and warehouse assistants-positions

• 5 + years of Warehouse Experience
• Matric
• Computer Literate
• Preferably SAP Experience
