Description:

  • Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Longmeadow has an opportunity available for a Dispatch Junior Manager (Nightshift) to join the team.

Experience & Qualification:
Essential:
  • Grade 12 – Matric
  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 2 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment

Advantage:
  • Experience in the Retail Supply Chain
  • Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring of SLA of old stock and ensure that it is kept up to date.
  • Ensure the packing of pallets are done correctly and accurately to prevent damages.
  • Understand and execute the planning process involved when stock leaves the distribution centre.
  • Manage the process flow from conveyors to the printing of DLS to Dis-Chem standard and operational requirements.
  • Ensure all stock is loaded on the sorter and maintenance related issues are resolved to prevent delays.
  • Implementation of more efficient means of streamlining the operations.
  • Manage the productivity of the production within the Department. Follow up and control daily absence and over time.
  • Assist with credit note reductions related to damages, picking and checking inaccuracies.
  • Ensure that all customer related operational queries are efficiently resolved and feedback is given to customers and special orders are prioritised.
  • Ensure training of new staff in that they have the necessary tools and equipment required to perform their duties efficiently.

Competencies/skills required:
  • Understand Fleet Management
  • English – Read, write and speak well
  • Microsoft – Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to produce reports
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to deliver against specific job-related targets
  • Trustworthy and Honest
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a customer service mind-set
