Description:

A well established end-to-end wholesale freight forwarder is is seeking a suitable candidate for Accounts Payable Clerk position for a 6-month contractual period . The position is based in in Bryanston, Johannesberg.

The AP Clerk will be focussed solely on Intercompany invoices and reconciliation .I t is very important that the individual has significant intercompany experience .

Purpose of Role

To ensure the Intercompany accounts for US, Canada, UK and Netherlands are reconciled, all invoices processed, and payment settlements initiated.

Main accountabilities include:
  • Reconciling Intercompany accounts, verifying and investigating discrepancies
  • Performing day to day financial transactions related to Intercompany
  • Reporting the status of Intercompany accounts and discrepancies identified weekly to the regional Heads of Finance
  • Communicating all queries with the relevant regions and stakeholders timely
  • Prepare settlement details for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to action
  • Working closely as an accountability partner for the operations teams
  • Structuring work hours in a manner that will ensure work continuity factoring in the different global time zones of the regions/offices being supported
