Description:
As Finance Operations Manager you'll be entering the business with a long-term view to directorship level. The business requires someone both financially- and operationally-minded to bring structure and order to the finance and admin teams and to advise the MD on product costings, proposed efficiencies, process enhancements, and to act as the go-between across the various production and operational teams. This is not an Excel-jockey position; you will play a fundamental role in shaping the business in the years ahead, with dual reporting to the MD and CFO/shareholders.
What you'll do
- Oversight of the entire finance/admin team (10+ people) and function - tax, AFS, management accounts, etc.
- Modernisation of the finance/admin functions -i.e. reduction of email tennis, cloud access to daily/weekly files, etc.
- Product costing analysis - i.e. which product lines are making the most profit and why, and should they be (dis)continued
- Process review and optimisation in order to drive efficiencies across the business
- Driving of the annual budget process (not just preparation of the numbers)
- Management of the annual audit and auditor relationship
- Capex planning and motivation
- Review of staff contracts, KPIs, incentivisation, annual reviews, etc.
