My client, a well established road transport service provider is seeking to employ a Fleet Scheduler with a relevant qualification and 1 - 2 years experience to join their dynamic team. Requirements:- Relevant Degree / Diploma
- Knowledge of the Transport market
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Analytical ability
- Good attention to detail
- Prepared to be available for cell phone queries and problem solving after office hours
- Negotiating skills
- Maintain established administration procedures
- Develop relationships with current transporters, clients and truck drivers
- Follow up trucks to determine accurate ETA
- Good communication with clients keeping them informed about the status of the cargo
- Build good relationships with loading and off-loading points
- Identify key role players at loading and off-loading points
- Weekly planning and forecasting of truck movements
- Build client relations and support drivers at loading and off-loading points
