Description:

Your role will focus on enhancing team performance, setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and fostering both individual and collective growth. Collaborating closely with the Operations team, you will ensure that skills development initiatives align seamlessly with organizational goals. Through your leadership, you will shape the professional journey of facilitators, ensuring high-quality program delivery while creating clear pathways for career progression within a 2 to 3-year timeframe.

What you'll do

Project and Programme Management

  • End-to-End Oversight: Manage the full cycle of skills development programmes, ensuring seamless execution from onboarding to completion
  • Phase 1 – Onboarding & Tracking: Ensure new hires are assigned TalentLMS learning journeys, have access to EBG and any other applicable courses as and are actively engaging with and completing their skills development requirements
  • Phase 2 – Programme Integration Completion: Oversee onboarding into formal skills development programmes, track progress, and work with service providers to resolve issues. Ensure facilitators complete on time and meet competency standards
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyse data from learning platforms, engagement metrics, and programme tracking tools to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement
  • Accountability & Issue Resolution: Identify gaps in execution, hold team members accountable, and escalate challenges proactively to ensure programme success

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead and project manage a team responsible for executing skills development initiatives
  • Set clear KPIs for team members and conduct regular performance tracking to ensure objectives are met
  • Hold team members accountable for deliverables, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Provide structured mentorship and coaching to improve team performance and foster professional growth

Stakeholder & Service Provider Management

  • Work closely with external service providers to ensure smooth execution of skills development initiatives, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, facilitators, and external partners to drive programme efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure facilitators meet deadlines and competency benchmarks, escalating performance concerns where necessary

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide regular updates and data-driven reports to the Youth Operations Manager on team performance, learner progress, and programme effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyse skills development engagement data to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proactively recommend solutions for better workflow, tracking, and learner success

Strategic Alignment & Innovation

  • Ensure skills development initiatives align with the company’s youth development objectives and contribute to long-term workforce readiness goals
  • Identify opportunities to enhance learning pathways, introduce new tools, and optimize processes for efficiency and impact

  • A qualification in a relevant field, such as education, organisational development, or human resources
  • At least three to five years of proven and successful experience in effectively implementing large-scale professional development programmes
  • At least three to five years in a management role
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, enabling the assessment and creation of learner-centred and effective professional development materials
  • Familiarity with evaluating programme effectiveness and utilising feedback to enhance the professional development programmes, ensuring continuous improvement in the learning experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the education or training industry, or large training functions in corporate institutions providing insight into the unique challenges and opportunities within these sectors
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, allowing for the seamless coordination and execution of multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficiency in working with and manipulating large datasets, extracting meaningful insights, and utilising findings to inform strategic decision-making and drive business performance adjustments
  • Completion rates of professional development programmes by facilitators
  • Feedback from facilitators regarding the usefulness and applicability of professional development programmes
  • Performance improvement of facilitators after completing professional development programmes
  • Number of facilitators obtaining additional certifications or qualifications.

What you'll need

  • A qualification in a relevant field, such as education, organisational development, or human resources

  • Completion rates of professional development programmes by facilitators
  • Feedback from facilitators regarding the usefulness and applicability of professional development programmes
  • Performance improvement of facilitators after completing professional development programmes
  • Number of facilitators obtaining additional certifications or qualifications.
  • Number of facilitators transitioning to their next opportunity
  • Overall engagement and satisfaction of facilitators with the learning and development initiatives
