Secretary (Grade 6) 3 Year contract - Part time (5 hours per day) School of Languages – Chinese Studies

The School of Languages invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Main Objectives

To provide a high level efficient and effective general administrative and secretarial support service for the Confucius Institute at Rhodes University. The incumbent will work closely with both Confucius Institute Director to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the Confucius Institute. The incumbent is also required to liaise and interact with international colleagues and guests at a high level, to present a good impression of the Confucius Institute at Rhodes University.

The Requirements

Grade 12 plus approximately 6 months’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -

  • Previous experience within an electronic administration environment which include sound organisational and planning skills as well as time-management skills.
  • Previous experience in setting up and maintaining filing and administrative
  • A good command of the English Language.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 6):

Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R 64 220.00
