Klawer Wine Cellars, situated on the N7 in the Olifantsriver Wine Region , is offering an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, organised, and analytical individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: *preparation, storage, and analysis of samples *maintenance and operation of laboratory instrumentation *ensure that quality and health and safety standards are maintained in the laboratory *monthly reporting on laboratory activities *monitoring and handling of grape allocations during harvest time *assist with dispatch administration for bulk wine exports *all other tasks related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Food/Cellar Technology or related field (Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/Micro-Biology);
• 3-4 years’ experience in a wine intrinsic laboratory, including experience with all standard wine lab instrumentation, analyses and procedures;
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office and WineMS);
• Own reliable transport;
• Willingness to work hours as per industry requirements.
