Position: Stock Management ControllerLocation: CenturionIndustry: Manufacturing & Repairs We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and motivated Stock Management Controller to take full ownership of stock control and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels across the head office and consignees, supervising warehouse operations, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods to internal and external sales channels. The role demands strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching stock.
- Supervise and lead a team of four warehouse staff, providing clear guidance and support.
- Conduct regular and accurate stock takes, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain precise stock levels and ensure the timely dispatch of goods to consignees, clients, internal and external sales teams.
- Collaborate with consignees to address and resolve stock-related issues, promoting efficient stock movement.
- Analyse stock reports and introduce process improvements to optimize operations and drive sales, particularly on overstocked or obsolete items.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and consignees, addressing issues and ensuring transparency.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures; re-establish SOPs to streamline workflow.
- Take responsibility for stock ordering plans from both local and international suppliers (Brazil and Spain).
- Work across three key segments of the company:
- Direct sales to clients
- Direct sales to Manufacturing
- Direct sales to the Repairs Department
- Maintain and improve communication and stock flow among departments.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in warehouse/stock management or a related field.
- Solid experience in inventory control, including conducting stock takes and managing discrepancies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Technical mindset
- Familiarity with Smarterm / BAAN software (training will be provided).
- A reliable vehicle for travel to clients and local consignees.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a small team.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with stock management systems.
- Contactable references essential.
