A Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of various products and projects. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement projects that meet customer needs and requirements. Responsibilities include project-oriented engineering activities, process flow design, layout design, and subsequent activities.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Technical Expertise:
- Apply engineering principles to design, plan, and implement projects.
- Ensure technical accuracy and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and find effective solutions.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identifying risks and issuess
- Coordination and Communication:

- Communicate project updates to all relevant parties.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Analyze data and make improvement recommendations.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control measures to prevent defects.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Project launch and process flow documentation, including time studies.
- Develop working instructions.
- Perform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement layouts when needed.
- Line balancing and process flow designs.
- Assembly cell development (new/existing).
- Kaizen improvements (minimum 1 per month).

- Computer literacy with strong layout and CAD understanding
- Minimum: B.Tech in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Ideal: 3 years' working experience in project management or the automotive industry would be advantageous
- Strong project management skills
- Understanding of process layouts
- Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) logic
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CAD tools (OPR3D, CATIA, PowerShape)
