Description:
Purpose of the position:
The main purpose of the junior technician is to do repairs, service & maintenance on specific devices that are used within the Cash Connect / Lesaka group. Here at the Validator Repair Centre (VRC) in Boksburg we primarily do focus on the note validators used on the safes.
Duties & Responsibilities, But Not Limited To:
- The fault-finding, repair, service & maintenance of specific devices.
- The cleaning and tidiness of the workspace.
- Recording of all personal stock handling.
- Recording all work done on each repair.
- The movement of repairs on the workshop floor.
- Ensuring the effective continuation of workflow.
- Assisting with stock takes.
Working Conditions:
- Standard working hours 07:30 to 16:00, Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 14:00 on Fridays.
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods.
- Workshop environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet targets.
Formal Education and Experience:
- Matric or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Technical experience is advantageous.
Requirements:
- Well organized and focused on service delivery.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Strict adherence to operating procedures.
- Physically fit and healthy.
- High attention to detail.
Behavioural Skills:
- Eager to learn and grow.
- Good communication skills.
- A keen interest in understanding the devices we work with.
- The ability to work in collaboration with the rest of the workshop team.
- Be proactive, initiate action and be results orientated.
- Follow procedure accurately with high attention to detail.
