A dynamic and creative Copywriter is sought to produce high-quality written content across various platforms and campaigns. This role is central to shaping brand voice, enhancing fan engagement, and driving key business objectives through clear, compelling, and brand-aligned communication.
You will work as part of an internal creative team, crafting content that resonates across different cultures, platforms, and fan communities—primarily focusing on email marketing (CRM), website content, and digital campaigns.
Responsibilities :
- Create, edit, and proof engaging content for newsletters, matchday mailers, activations, and ticket promotions.
- Write web content such as player bios, news articles, fixture pages, ticketing and e-commerce pages.
- Apply SEO, UX, and conversion best practices to all copy.
- Support brand campaigns with copy for video, social media, and other digital assets.
- Translate commercial and complex messaging into clear, engaging fan language.
- Define and uphold a unique tone of voice for multiple brands.
- Adjust writing style according to platform, campaign, and audience.
- Understand and reflect various fan communities and their cultural nuances.
- Collaborate to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
- Work closely with CRM and marketing teams to develop automated and campaign-specific email flows.
- Write high-performing copy for welcome journeys, previews, CTAs, memberships, and merchandise.
- Conduct A/B testing of subject lines and content formats to optimise performance.
- Analyse insights and contribute suggestions for improving campaign results.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date web content.
- Collaborate with digital teams to ensure UX-friendly and SEO-aligned language.
- Write clear copy for ticket purchase flows, e-commerce pages, and onboarding.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and consistent quality across platforms.
- Partner with creatives, designers, editors, and marketing stakeholders to bring campaigns to life.
- Meet content deadlines and prioritise effectively with the production team.
- Provide tone-aligned copywriting support for commercial or partner content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and concept development for new campaigns.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Copywriting, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of copywriting experience in brand, agency, or editorial environments.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating versatile writing across channels and tones.
- Experience writing effective CRM and website content with a conversion focus.
- Strong grasp of tone of voice, brand language, and digital engagement strategies.
- Impeccable grammar, spelling, and editorial attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Background in writing for sports, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with CRM/email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- SEO and UX content writing knowledge.
- Experience with branded content and partner-driven campaigns.
- Understanding of fan engagement in a sports context is a plus.
