Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee strategic, financial, and operational delivery across major construction projects — from initial design through to successful project completion. The role will ensure projects progress according to budget, programme timelines, and client expectations, while building strong, sustainable relationships with customers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate site management teams to ensure smooth project delivery and resource readiness before project commencement.

Planning & Organizing:

  • Oversee all activities related to the planning, costing, and ongoing management of new and existing projects.

Human Resource Development:

  • Develop contract teams and mentor individuals to meet project and professional goals.

Management Systems & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, statutory regulations, and client-specific requirements.

Project Execution:

  • Monitor, review, and drive contract performance to achieve programme targets.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to management committees to support informed decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.


Minimum Requirements:

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Registration:

  • SACPCMP Registration as a Professional Construction Manager or Professional Construction Project Manager.

Work Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior management role overseeing major construction projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong working knowledge of project management software and applications.
