Minimum requirements for the role:
A BCom in sales and marketing or national diploma in food sciences would be an advantage but is not essential. Previous sales management experience managing a sales team ideally within the food and beverage food ingredient raw materials industry, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth is preferred.â?? Proven experience in sales management within the food and beverage or any other chemical raw material industry supplying the manufacturing industry is preferred. Good financial management understanding is preferred. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a sales team towards achieving goals. â?? Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading and overseeing a sales team on a national basis for a company within the food and beverage ingredient raw material manufacturing industry. Leading a sales team by providing guidance, training and mentorship, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, analysing data, assigning sales territories and building their team. Planning and directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs. Directing and coordinating activities involving sales products and services. Managing all administrative requirements relating to sales and assisting with resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service. Reviewing operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability. Preparing annual sales budget, monthly forecasts and monthly sales reports. Managing and growing export opportunities with the sales team. Managing sales targets and impact of rates of exchange on profitability. Managing development of new products and supply chain into new markets. Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and expand market share. â?? Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
